If you want to listen to the music on your Mac, yes.

But to use it as a controller, no. And, unless I am wrong, the OP has its own streamer.

The LUMIN app uses the OpehHome protocol to control the streamer. If the streamer supports only the standard UPnP/DLNA protocol, the LUMIN app will be unable to discover or control the streamer.
