Problems With MinimServer 2 on Mac Mini M2

I'm trying to get MinimServer 2 going on my Mac Mini M2 with Tahoe 26.1. I have Java JDK 25.0.1 downloaded and setup (I assume). It shows up in the terminal view. I made it down through item #6 on the Install MinimServer 2 on Mac and I got nothing else. I tried double clicking the MinimServer 2 icon again and got nothing. After a couple more tries, I tried moving the app to the trash bin. I was told that I couldn't move the app to the trash bin because it was running. I rebooted and moved the app to trash and went back through the process. This time nothing happened. When I tried to move the app to trash, it said the app was running.

I've only used my Mac for Roon, so I'm not up to speed on using Apple software. I've been using Microsoft for 40 years and probably wouldn't be having this problem with a Windows machine, but I have the Mac just for music.

Are you sure you have installed the correct version of Java? For a Mac Mini M2 you need the ARM64 version, not the x64 version. What exactly do you see in the terminal view?

Thanks for confirming that you are using the correct version of Java.

It might be that MinimServer is running but not showing its menu bar icon. There is a new setting System Settings / Menu Bar in Tahoe to enable/disable taskbar icons from specific applications. Please check this setting to make sure that MinimServer is enabled for menu bar icons.
