JRE issue QNAP TS-212: SOLVED
SOLVED:
my JRE packages appeared as they were installed but they were not. After having installed them again I have been able to install MinimServer. __________________________________________________________________ Hello, I have recently rebuild my old QNAP TS-212 (ARMv5) volume disk and now I am re-installing MinimServer. I used to have MinimServer version 2.1.2 working, upgraded since the times of version 0.8.. Now if I install 2.2 or 2.1.2 the server does not start because "JRE is not installed or enabled". However I have JRE 8.151.2 and JRE ARM 8.65.0 installed as before, when everything was working. I have read that my java qpkg is useless and "MinimJRE 0.1.0.qpkg" should solve the issue.. But I cannot find it. I wanted also to try to install the old 0.8, see if it works and then upgrade to 2.1.2 as I think I did some time ago. But 0.8 is no longer available. I am stuck and therefore I resorted to ask for support. Is there any way to make MinimServer to work again in my old NAS? Thanks in advance for the help. |

RE: JRE issue QNAP TS-212: SOLVED
I am pleased to hear you have got this working.
For future reference, only the JRE package is needed. The JRE_ARM package is obsolete and should be removed, as described in this section. The MinimJRE package (not qpkg) is internal to MinimServer and is automatically installed by MinimServer when needed. It is not needed for your NAS. |
