Curious about Log message - Exported Metadata
I have been looking at the MinimServer log, trying to understand a metadata issue I was having and I see a goodly number of log entries during the scan: 'scanning directory Exported Metadata'. (They are not related to my issue. I am just curious about them.)
Can anyone explain the significance of the message, and perhaps what files or folders it pertains to? And how it got exported? (I manually edit metadata quite a bit.) Thanks. |

RE: Curious about Log message - Exported Metadata
It seems you have a directory named Exported Metadata inside your path …

RE: Curious about Log message - Exported Metadata
Thanks for the response. I embarrass myself by overlooking the obvious and simplest explanation. Indeed, I found 47 subdirectories with that name that were created yesterday.
I now remember clicking on a button in an editing app marked "Export ..." expecting that the ellipsis indicated there would be more dialog before any action would happen. But there was no further confirmation dialog nor any result indicated. I frowned and went on. I will be more careful about clicking on unexplained unfamiliar buttons. Thanks again. |

RE: Curious about Log message - Exported Metadata
This reminds me of a funny french cartoon, a big cat (dressed like a human) saying:
as a password, I always choose the word "incorrect". Because when I type it wrong, the computer tells me "your password is incorrect" |
