Convert DSD to PCM 192
Hello, my name is Jörg
I am new here in the forum. I use a Dac that cannot play DSD and PCM up to 192 kHz. But the conversion from DSD to PCM is done at 352.8 or 705.6 kHz. The Dac cannot reproduce this. I have entered the following: dsf:dopwav;192,dff:dopwav;192,flac:wav24;192, wav:wav24;192, Where is the mistake? Sorry for the bad English. Thank you very much Joerg |

RE: Convert DSD to PCM 192
What is the problem when you use these settings? For example, do you get an error message when you put the settings in stream.transcode or are your DSD files not playing on your DAC?
If the settings are accepted by MinimStreamer but your DSD files are not playing on your DAC, the problem might be caused by using dopwav in your settings. This is because the dopwav option does not produce a PCM WAV stream. It produces a PCM WAV wrapper containing the original DSD data. If your DAC cannot play DSD files, it might not support the DoP format. The solution for this is to change your settings to these alternative settings: dsf:wav24;192,flac:wav24;192, wav:wav24;192 These alternative settings transcode DSF files but not DFF files. This is because FFmpeg (used by MinimStreamer for transcoding) cannot transcode DFF files to WAV. |

RE: Convert DSD to PCM 192
Many thanks for your help. The problem with the DSD files is now solved.
I have another small problem: there are still Flac songs that appear in 16 bit/44 kHz. Although I used the command flac:wav24;192, wav:wav24;192 command. Most of the songs are then also in 192 kHz, but not all of them. After each change, I have MinimServer resynchronized and reloaded and restart the JPLAY app. Maybe you will find this error too. Thank you very much Joerg |

RE: Convert DSD to PCM 192
I don't know what could cause this. Are you seeing the 16/44 songs when browsing in JPLAY or do you discover that they are 16/44 only when playing the songs?

I think you need to synchronize JPlay/Minimserver (Sync data), every time you add/change albums/configuration … reload isn’t enough
