Minimwatch not running
Hi.
I have Minimwatch on my Windows 10 PC and the network is set to private, and Minimstreamer on my QNAP NAS and they are both running.
I have the latest modules loaded.
However, Minimwatch will not run and remains greyed out.
What else do I need to check/do to get Minimwatch running?
Thank you.

RE: Minimwatch not running
Some simple first steps:

1) Try clicking Refresh in MinimWatch
2) Exit MinimWatch and relaunch it

If these don't work, is your MinimServer library shown in your UPnP control app?

I have tried items 1 and 2 above, and the icon is still greyed out.
I can see Minimserver via my Naim app on my Android phone.

RE: Minimwatch not running
As your Naim app can see MinimServer from your Android phone, the MinimWatch problem must be related to a setting on your Windows PC. This could be your network type setting or your frewall settings. See the MinimWatch can't find MinimServer section for how to check and fix these settings.

I searched through the apps listed in my Norton 360 firewall and minimwatch was not listed.
I turned the firewall off and relaunced minimwatch and the icon turned green.
I turned the firewall back on and the icon turned grey.
So I repeated the process but then left it while I went out. On my return the icon was still green.
I turned my PC off and back on and minimwatch launched and the icon stayed green
I then decided to add mwatch.jar to the list of apps in the firewall, I will see how it goes.
Thank you for your help.

RE: Minimwatch not running
Adding mwatch.jar to the firewall settings probably won't make any difference. You need to add "Java(TM) Platform SE binary" as stated in the help section. This is for the built-in Windows firewall. I presume this would also apply to the Norton firewall but I can't confirm this.

Where is Java TM Platform SE Binary stored on a Windows 10 PC? I have to navigate to it from within Norton 360 Firewall?
Thank you.

On my Windows 10 PC, the file is here:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath\javaw.exe
