I have done some tests to find out why the log didn't show a problem. The Synology version of ffmpeg doesn't report any errors when transcoding an AAC/ADTS stream but doesn't send any data on the network connection to the renderer. Everything looks normal in the MinimServer log and the network connection to the renderer remains open but the renderer is not receiving any audio data.

I will look into whether it is possible to add extra checking for this unusual situation and report an error if it occurs.
