ReplayGain and mp3's
I am a lover of playing very large playlists on random selection and consequently love the ReplayGain function. I have however, noticed that it does not appear to work for me on mp3's. The vast majority of my collection is flac, so it doesn't happen very often, but when an mp3 is selected, it is always much louder than the flac's.

I have applied the ReplayGain settings to all of my mp3's using dbPowerAmp, so I know that the settings are in the metadata, but they don't seem to work.

Is there an issue with mp3's and ReplayGain, or is it a setup mistake that I am making?

RE: ReplayGain and mp3's
What is your stream.transcode setting?

RE: ReplayGain and mp3's
For the last 5 minutes, my stream.transcode settings have been:

flac:wav24;,mp3:wav24;,aac:wav24;

but before your reply, they were:

flac:wav24;, mp3:wav24;,aac:wav24;

i.e. with a space between the comma and mp3:wav24.

So it looks like it was me all along!

I'm waiting for Bubble to select an mp3 to confirm this!

RE: ReplayGain and mp3's
The space makes no difference. It looks like your transcode settings (with or without the space) are correct for replay gain to be applied.

RE: ReplayGain and mp3's
It is possible that the replaygain tags in your MP3 files are in the wrong format (APEv2 instead of ID3v2)? For more information about this, see this thread.
