Please answer this question from my previous post:

Have you used the Restart selection from the minim icon? This is necessary for new music to be found.

Please also answer both of the following questions:

What is the current value of the contentDir property? You can see this by selecting Properties from the minim icon on the menu bar of your iMac.

Is MinimServer currently working for browsing and playing your previous music (not including the new music that you added recently)?

Thanks! This means you need to make sure the new music is copied to a folder somewhere underneath the /volume1/music folder, and then use Restart from the minim icon to be able to see the new music on your iPad. You should not change any settings in MinimServer or MinimWatch.

It sounds like iTunes may have copied the new music to a folder on the Synology that isn't underneath the /volume1/music folder. Can you see the new music using File Station on the Synology? If so, please attach a screenshot of the File Station screen showing the new music. Please also attach a screenshot of the File Station screen showing some old music that you are able to browse and play using MinimServer.

Thanks for this! You should be able to fix the problem for now by copying the new music manually from the iMac into the music>music>Music folder and then restarting MinimServer from the minim icon.

The disadvantage of this approach is that you'll need to do this manual copying every time you add new music to the iMac. The following alternative options might be better:

Option 1:
If you can set up iTunes to automatically copy new music to the NAS when you add new music to your iTunes library on the iMac, this would be more convenient than copying the new music manually. I'm not an iTunes user, and I don't know whether iTunes is able to do this automatic copying.

Option 2:
Move your iTunes media folder from your iMac to the NAS. There is some information about how to do this in this thread. With this approach, your music files will be kept on the NAS instead of on the iMac, and any new music that you add to iTunes will be directly accessible to MinimServer without any copying. You will still need to restart MinimServer after adding new music.
