Which UPNP renderer on Raspberry Pi?
Hello,
after using the Logitech Media Server, I am now returning to MinimServer (completely superior if you listen to classical music :-). I have Minimserver installed on a Synology. My renderers are Raspberry Pis with Dac-Hats, currently still programmed with the ‘Picore-Player’ solution.

My question: Can you recommend a lean application for the Raspberry Pi as a renderer for MinimServer? It's quite bumpy with the Picore player and more importantly I have to keep the Logitech Media Server on my Synology...

RoPieee supports UPnP and Squeezelite. I've used it as an OpenHome renderer for years and never had any problems.

Thanks, strangely, the solution does not work with my Raspberry Pi 3b with an Allo Boss Dac. Installation works, but as soon as I select the Allo Boss as Dac in the setup, the entire installation is shot. Too bad.

That's not a good start! I have the same setup except for an Allo DigiOne hat.

I came back to point you to the Ropieee support forum but it looks like you've beat me to it Smile

It is working now. The problem was that the IP for the Ropieee interface was used by picoreplayer before. After deleting the site cache everything worked.

Thank you for the tipp, @simbun! Actually, it is a great solution and I love the fact that I can use Minimserver (my own music), LMS (radio) and Spotify (for kids) on one renderer (almost) without issues. Only adjusting the volume is sometimes cumbersome...

RE: Which UPNP renderer on Raspberry Pi?
I use gmrender-resurrect
It works proper and supports also replay-gain:
https://github.com/hzeller/gmrender-resu...INSTALL.md

https://github.com/hzeller/gmrender-resurrect/issues/37

Fixes for it:
https://github.com/hzeller/gmrender-resu...issues/268

If you are an expert you could also implement convolution:
