DSD
Hi all,

A couple of questions regarding playing DSD files, do I need to install Minim Streamer to play DSD files plus does the file have to be converted to wav/flac or can it be played as a DSD file, my Naim ND5 XS 2 can play up to DSD 128, I use Minim Server on my Qnap TS-251+2, the Naim app works perfect with my collection of Flac music files but at the moment the DSD file does not appear on the album list.

Any help would be appreciated
Steve

RE: DSD
Are your DSD files in DFF or DSF format? DFF files don't have tags, so they won't appear in the album list. You should be able to see them under [untagged] or [folder view].

You should be able to play both DFF and DSF files on your Naim without MinimStreamer and without conversion.

RE: DSD
Hi Simoncn, the file is DSF, I can see the album in the music folder on my Windows PC, I looked in the Naim App under untagged and it is in there, can I put a tag on it so it is visible with my other albums ?
I only have the free Minim Server but happy to upgrade if needed !
.

RE: DSD
You should be able to use a tagging program such as Mp3tag to add an Album tag to this file. You can also add other tags (for example, Artist) that would be useful for you. You can use Album, Artist, AlbumArtist, Genre, Date and Composer tags with the free version of MinimServer.

On Mac OSx I recommend Metadatics to tag music, very user friendly
