No Play
Hello,
I restarted my Synology ds214play running MinimSever today, and now can't play music. I can restart/rescan MinimServer, select/update playlists, etc... and my renderer, Upmpdcli, is recognised. So, all appears connected and speaking to each other, but I can't play. I use LUMIN as my control point, and have also tried Linn and Esoteric, all with the same problem. All was fine yesterday. The only difference is the restart of the NAS.
Could someone please help me find the problem?
Thanks and best wishes,
Paul

RE: No Play
If you have a router in your system, reboot it.

RE: No Play
Restarting the NAS might have changed its local IP address. The LUMIN app might be using your previous NAS local IP address to access your MinimServer library. To fix this, select the option in the LUMIN app to reload your MinimServer library into the LUMIN app.

RE: No Play
Just tried reloading the library and still no joy, I'm afraid.

RE: No Play
As I understand it, your control point (the LUMIN app) can access the MinimServer library but your renderer (Upmpdcli) cannot. This suggests there is some connectivity issue between the device running the Upmpdcli renderer and the device running MinimServer.

RE: No Play
I'd agree. I've tried using another renderer, but that isn't even detected on my ethernet.

RE: No Play
I suggest you check all network connections, cables and power supplies. The next step is to power off all your network equipment and power it on again as described in this section.

RE: No Play
I had went through a power down-up routine, so wasn't expecting it to work, but doing it very thoroughly and in the order described, did the trick. Many thanks.
