MinimStreamer convOut wrong option
Hi Simon,
today I updated my QNAP 453A with a new firmware version QTS 5.2.0.2860. When I open Minim I receive a error message : MinimStreamer: 'convOut' option incorrect for converter. The version of MinimStreamder 2.0.13. The streamer in the properties is ffmpeg. These are the options: convOut=-af volume=replaygain=album and for transcoding flac:wav24; needles to say that I did not touch the properties since yesterday when everything worked fine. The Minimserver cannot be found by my controlpoints i.e. Kinsky and the Linn App since I receive the message although IP address is correct. Worth mentioning, I have another older QNAP with with older QTS but the same Minim versions 2.2 for server and 2.0.13 for streamer. No error message, same convOut options but this old version of ffmpeg : /mnt/ext/opt/medialibrary/bin/ffmpeg. This one works and I can play music from it. |

RE: MinimStreamer convOut wrong option
No panic :-)
I reinstalled the QNAP Multimedia console and everything works. It seems to me as if the App was scrapped during the firmware update. I found out after looking into system messages. I was asked to activate some multimedia functions and when I clicked on yes I was prompted to install the Multimedia console app as a prereq. Sorry for bothering. |

RE: MinimStreamer convOut wrong option
I am currently running QTS 5.1.7.2770 on my HS-264. The default preinstalled version of ffmpeg (/usr/bin/ffmpeg) is version 0.8.10 which is extremely old and lacking important features.
I think it would be better to install ffmpeg from MyQNAP (see this section). This version is fully functional and should stay installed and working when you update to a new QTS version. |
