dsm 7.2.2 : minimserver is stuck, Help !

Sorry if this was already solved...

I just switched to DSM 7.2.2-72803

Minimserver is stopped, and only offers to uninstall, nothing else.

When I click on uninstall, it says

"you must deactivate your license before uninstalling"

ahah but how can I deactivate my license when minimserver is stopped...

Now, I tried to download Minimserver and install.

It says :

The version of the package installed is 2.2-7001 which is not compatible with your SYnology NAS. Plase update to 2.2-7002 or above

Please help, I am stuck ;-)

Synology has recently released DSM 7.2.2 (without telling me first so that I could warn MinimServer users about what this means for them). This version of DSM is not compatible with many packages that were created for earlier versions of DSM 7.

You have updated DSM to DSM 7.2.2 and you currently have the MinimServer 2.2-7001 package installed. This package is not compatible with DSM 7.2.2. To enable MinimServer to run on DSM 7.2.2, you need to download the MinimServer 2.2-7003 package from the MinimServer Downloads page and do a manual install. This package runs on all versions of DSM 7.x. I asked Synology to put this package into the DSM Package Center but they refused to do this.

At some point there should be a MinimServer 2.2-7002 package in the DSM Package Center. This package runs on DSM 7.2.2 only because Synology would not accept a package that is also capable of running on earlier versions of DSM 7.x. I have submitted the 2.2-7002 package to Synology but for some reason they have not yet made it available publicly.

The way this has been done by Synology (as an intentionally breaking change for MinimServer users) seems completely crazy to me, with no regard for user impact or upward compatibility even though this would have been technically possible.

It seems the 7002 is online on synology server (this is what it says on my synology)

After replying to your post, I sent Synology an email about this. They have responded to me saying they have now added the MinimServer 7002 packages to the DSM 7.2.2 Package Center. It is fine for you to stay on the 7003 package.

Worldwide and for all NAS? I cannot find version 7002 in package center after upgrading my DS218j, which is located in Germany, to DSM 7.2.2. I get offered only the option to deinstall the package due to incompatiblity. I guess package 7002 should be in the external packages section, where it isn't.

MinimServer should be in the Contributor section of Package Center, after MegaCMD and before NAKIVO. Do you see the MegaCMD and NAKIVO packages but not the MinimServer package?

As a workaround for this Package Center problem, you can do a manual install of MinimServer 2.2-7003 as described in this section. You need the ARMv7 version for your DS218j. There is no difference in functionality between the 7002 and 7003 versions.

I will conatact Synology and ask them why you are not seeing the 7002 version in Package Center.

Exactly, see screenshot. I will (patiently) wait until it's published in package center to test the update routine.
