RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
Thanks for this information. Does MinimWatch show in the list of apps under Privacy & Security > Local Network? If it does show, it is enabled or disabled?

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
I am also running Sequoia 15.0.1 on an Apple M2 and MinimWatch is greyed out.
There are no error messages in the MinimWatch log.
MinimWatch is not listed in Privacy & Security > Local Network.

Hi Simon

It's not listed in 'Local Network' at all. Hope this helps
David

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
Same problem as everyone else with Sequoia. Rather frustrating that Minimwatch doesn't even appear in the app list under 'Privacy & Security'. Here's what the lot shows:

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
I have a test build that should provide a workaround for this problem on either Sequoia 15 or 15.0.1. To install and run the test build, do the following:

1) If you have already installed MinimWatch 2.2, drag this to the trash
2) Download the test build from this link
3) Open the .dmg file and drag MinimWatch to the Applications folder
4) Launch MinimWatch
5) If you see a prompt to allow access to SystemUIServer, accept this
6) You should see a prompt to allow local network access. Accept this.
7) You should see an entry for MinimWatch in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, with access enabled
8) If the MinimWatch menu bar icon is grey, select Refresh from the MinimWatch icon menu
9) MinimWatch should now show any running instances of MinimServer on other devices

If you restart macOS after doing the above, do the following:

10) If the MinimWatch menu bar icon is grey, try doing a Refresh (step 8 above)
11) If this doesn't work, go to the Local Network window (step 7 above) and disable MinimWatch, then re-enable it
12) Do another Refresh. It should work this time.

Hi Simon
I too am having the same problem. I have downloaded the r3 version and followed your instructions up to step 4. On opening the app I am asked to confirm that i want to proceed as it is an app downloaded from the internet. I click continue but the app does not open. Have other people experienced this?

Hi Simon

All works as far as 'Refresh' which doesn't and leaves the MinimWatch icon greyed out. However my old trick of putting the system to sleep and immediately reawakening it brings MinimWatch awake and functional.

Did you try step 11?

After confirming, you should see an "musical note" icon in the menu bar. Nothing else will happen.
