Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
Since running the consumer beta of Sequoia on my MBP Minimwatch is greyed out and I can't use it. Any clues?

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
If MinimServer is installed and running on the same Mac MinimWatch runs fine. I assume it's therefore somehow due to MinimWatch's access to the Network as MinimServer normally runs on two QNAP NASs

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
If both MinimServer and MinimWatch are installed and runnng on the same Mac, you should see a minim icon from MinimServer but no minim icon from MinimWatch. This is intentional to prevent duplicate icons being shown.
I am installing the Sequoia beta at the moment (2 hours and 54 minutes remaining). I will try this when the installation has finished and post back here. |

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
I am seeing the same problem. There are new restrictions in Sequoia related to whether a macOS app is allowed to access the local network. I am working on a change to MinimWatch and MinimServer that should hopefully enable them to work on Sequoia.

Many thanks, I had assumed this was the case but couldn't find a way to add MinimWatch or Java to the list able to access the local network. |

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
As I understand it from some reading yesterday, an entitlement needs to be added to the application to trigger a prompt that allows the user to approve access to the local network. I am working on making this change to MinimServer and MinimWatch..

RE: Minimwatch is greyed out on Mac Sequoia
I have spent many hours and days trying to get this working. I have followed all instructions on the Apple website for how to enable local network and multicast permission. Some attempts have come close but none has worked correctly. I am currently rewriting the macOS launcher for MinimServer and MinimWatch in the hope that this might provide a solution.

Many thanks, much appreciated as I'm sure while it will be necessary for when Sequoia is released you have other priorities at the moment |
