Moods
I run miniserver with HIFICast, which works great. I wonder if there is also a software that runs with minimserver, that can categorize my music in moods, like slow tempo's in the "morning-mood"

Do you have a source in mind for that classification? I know AllMusic and RateYourMusic have moods.

I don't have anything in mind, and don't know how allmusic & rateyourmusic could work together with music on my NAS? Can you explain a bit?

Many thanks, Johan

RE: Moods
In MinimServer everything comes from your tags/tagUpdate and there's no way around that, but you can use other tools to do - some of - the hard work for you e.g. When MinimServer introduced index artwork with v2 update 173, I had Plex index my collection and exported the Artist images for use in MinimServer.

I've just had a quick test and it appears that Plex pulls mood from AllMusic, and using WebTools NG it's possible to export that data, although in my sample data it seemed like it was better populated in the Artist table, so that's something you'd need to validate.
Once you have the data it should be relatively easy to build an Mp3tag script to add that data to your tags.

Similarly I've used the MusicBrainz database dump to add Album and Artist AllMusic URLs to my tracks so I'm able to go navigate there from BubbleUPnP (using the Comment.displayFormat functionality).

Were you looking for a more automated approach?

RE: Moods
SongKong can also automatically add moods and is fully compatible with MinimServer.

OK - I understand it's all about tagging.
That SongKong sounds good.

So what I need to do is buy SongKong Pro
Install it to my PC and let it run on (a few to start) music folder on my QNAP to add/correct tags.
I guess I can add the "Mood" tag and afterwards select on it in minimserver?

I did look at SongKong but from what I could see the moods were a little limited - although I think AllMusic has way too many.

Is it still based on AcousticBrainz?

RE: Moods
OK, I added BPM and mood tag in the file.

@simbun It think it does still work with AcousticBrainz.
Don't need too much moods, but this Songkong have also too many moods (who is calling a kind of mood "extremely bored"? :-)

Anyway, is there a way to reduce the quantity of moods?

RE: Moods
It would be great if we could do something with these values to create a play queue.
