Revisiting the Artist and All Artists Index

RE: Revisiting the Artist and All Artists Index
You can use the MinimServer writeAllTags property to write a complete list of tag names and tag values to a file, sorted like this:

ALBUMARTIST=Album artist 1
ALBUMARTIST=Album artist 2
....
ARTIST=Artist 1
ARTIST=Artist 2
....

Comparing this list with the image files in your indexArtwork folder should enable you to identify the image files that don't correspond to tags in your MinimServer library.

RE: Revisiting the Artist and All Artists Index
Thanks Simon this looks like a useful workaround.
LastFM though has generated not just thousands of track artists from compilation albums but produces irregular shaped thumbnails. I am now experimenting with Musicbee, which mainly extracts artist images from Fanart that I can copy across to MS. The advantage is more square images as well as only returning a file of album artists. Not quite PLEX standard but good enough.

Have you tried using tautulli to export from Plex?

I'm sure I used it a few years ago, but could quickly verify if it still works.

EDIT: I'm sure it never used to be that easy. It still works (last updated a couple of days ago) and of the handful of albumartists I loaded into Plex all the images were square and all but one were 1000x1000.
