Customising track order in playlists
Hi,a problem has arisen with the melco app update 1.19(1.19.05). it concerns customing the track order in playlists. Editing a playlist by scrolling tracks into the reqd order and selecting 'Done' completes the new order as before. However the new order is not retained when retrieving the playlist following leaving it. I note a new icon for set options for track ordering- has this compromised customising?. NB I have just become aware that sometimes the desired track does not stay in position during editing but returns to its original position immediately? Very strange, am I missing something?

RE: Customising track order in playlists
I have tried this and reordering the tracks seems to be working for me. After doing this, I left the playlist and browsed the library and returned to the playlist after that. The playlist still showed the new order.

I have the sort option for the playlist set to "No Sort". Is this your setting?

RE: Customising track order in playlists
Thank you for the reply, I've carried out tests with several playlists using "No sort". Results are varied and puzzling and a bit concerning. 1. Customising track order with some playlists is successful others still retain the previous order. 2. Further investigation I noticed that playlists were playing all tracks without selecting "Play all" and without gaps. I found 'Gapless to renderer' was set to ON. Setting to OFF, repeated tests gave the same results as in 1. I also found that when powering up my iPad and activating the Melco app, "Gapless to renderer" is automatically set to ON each time?
4. The server is Melco N10 and set to 'UPnP/DNLA compatible mode. Hope that helps.

RE: Customising track order in playlists
I don't use the Melco app myself (except for occasional testing) and I am unable to explain what you are seeing. Have you tried contacting Melco about this?
