Minimserver update popup cannot be deleted
On my Win 7 PC, I got a popup window for a 2.2 244 update and I selected Install Now which was unsuccessful and generated an error.
The original Update Window remains permanently on-screen with Install Now and Remind Me Later buttons greyed out and the 'X' at the top right does not close this window. How do I remove it? |

Do you remember what the message said? If so, please post it here.
Are you running MinimServer on your Windows PC? If so, you can try selecting Exit from the MinimServer icon in the Windows system tray. If MinimServer is running on another device and MinimWatch is running on the PC, try selecting Exit from the MinimWatch icon in the system tray. |

RE: Minimserver update popup cannot be deleted
Sorry I can't remember, nor can I repeat the update operation because the popup is stuck and the link to repeat the update does not now work.
I am using the QNAP Intel version and just opened it, This offered me the option to update to 245 and this was successful. The popup still remains, but the update link now works although seems still to be looking for 244 |

RE: Minimserver update popup cannot be deleted
Please clarify whether the stuck pop-up on your Windows PC is from MinimServer running on your Windows PC or from MinimWatch running on your Windows PC.

Minimserver is running on my QNAP TS253A, so does that mean the popup is from ?Minimwatch that is running on my Win 7 PC? |

RE: Minimserver update popup cannot be deleted
Thanks for clarifying this. You need to close MinimWatch and restart it.
First, try to right-click the MinimWatch icon in the system tray and select Exit. If this doesn't work, start Task Manager and select the Processes tab. If the columns at the top don't include a column named Command Line, use View > Select Columns to add this column. Now look for an entry with an Image Name of javaw.exe and a Command Line ending with "C:\Program Files\MinimWatch\lib\mwatch.jar". Right-click this entry and select End Process. In the warning pop-up, select End Process again. The stuck pop-up should disappear and you should be able to start MinimWatch again. |
