To activate the new port number, it is necessary to completely stop MinimServer from the NAS App Center or Package Center and start MinimServer again. That's what I did and you can clearly see port 9797 in minimserver.config, but after opening the port in my router box it doesn't work. Looks like the minimserver is still pointing to port 9790. |

You need to completely stop MinimServer from the App Center or Package Center of your NAS and start MinimServer again. MinimServer will then use and show the correct port.

The URL shown by Synology is wrong. If you click it, you will find it doesn't work. To get the correct URL, replace 9790 with 9797.

I managed to reach minimserver by modifying the URL directly in the address bar. But I can't change the URL in the NAS. I'll keep looking tomorrow. Thank you so much |

RE: Port 9790 on two NAS Synology
Unfortunately I don't think it is possible for MinimServer to change the port number in the URL shown by Synology. I think this number comes from the adminport line in the /var/packages/MinimServer/INFO file. This INFO file is part of the MinimServer Synology package and has file permissions that prevent MinimServer from modifying it at runtime.

Hello Simon, I found a solution to my issue, but it was a bit by chance and I don't understand why it works, it must be said that I don't know much about networking. If I connect to NAS 1 by its IP address, I can modify the settings of minimserver installed on NAS 1. Likewise, by connecting to the NAS 2 by its IP address I can modify the parameters of the corresponding minimserver. The ports of both minimservers is 9790 and I have not defined a port in my Box router. I thank you for your help and your availability. |

RE: Port 9790 on two NAS Synology
Thanks for posting this. It sounds like the best solution as it enables you to use the standard setup for MinimServer on both your Synology NASs.
