Disc subtitles of incomplete albums
Hi @simoncn,

Special/Deluxe editions of albums typically contain additional content that you'll only ever want to hear the once, so I've tagged those tracks as 'Bonus'.

I have a Super Deluxe Edition album that has disc subtitles, but if I filter out the Bonus tracks all the disc subtitles disappear and are replaced with '>> Complete Album', even though the entire contents of one of the discs still remains.

I was hoping that disc subtitles would still have been displayed to simplify track selection, as on this album there's both a Stereo and Mono Remaster.

RE: Disc subtitles of incomplete albums
The grouping of an album into discs is only performed when the album is complete. For incomplete albums with tracks filtered out by previous selections, an item list (tracks or groups) is shown.

RE: Disc subtitles of incomplete albums
If there isn't a technical reason - or personal design preference - to this would it be possible to enable this?

I don't think the fact that a disc number/label is displayed denotes that the contents are complete, just like the absence of one.

In the attached screenshot the first set of tracks are the complete contents of Disc 1 and the subsequent tracks are the majority of Disc 4. The first is a Stereo Mix the latter a Mono.

If this is any more work than just enabling the grouping then don't even consider it as I only have a few albums where this is "really" a problem, the majority of the albums are fine.

Thanks again for the excellent support and product!

RE: Disc subtitles of incomplete albums
Changing this would not be easy. Although it looks like the only difference between the incomplete album view and the complete album view is the presence of disc dividers, the underlying data structures (object models) are very different.

An incomplete album just contains items (tracks and/or groups). A complete album can contain items or it can contain discs and these discs can contain items. The disc divider is produced by the disc object and can be selected to show and/or play the disc contents. This cannot be done for an incomplete album because there are no disc objects.

RE: Disc subtitles of incomplete albums
I guess I was hoping that the logical processing was the same and that you were simply choosing not to push the headers to the control point because the disc contents may not be complete, or something trivial like that, but it sounds like a much bigger change so it's not really worth it.

Thanks for the consideration.
