RE: MinimStreamer not working
Thanks for this information.
I am away from home at present so I can't try these settings with the same version of Synology DSM that you are using. If you remove *:wav and restart MinimServer, do the radio streams play? Also, if you change flac:wav to flac:wav; (with a semicolon at the end) and restart MinimServer, do your local FLAC files play? |

RE: MinimStreamer not working
Thanks for your time on this Simon. It will wait until you are back at home! - enjoy your time away!
I've removed *:wav and the streams still do not play. I've changed flac:wav to flac:wav; and my local flac files play ok. Thanks, Steve |

RE: MinimStreamer not working
Thanks for your understanding!
Thanks also for this information. Because local files are playing OK (with or without transcoding by MinimStreamer/ffmpeg ) and network streams do not play (with or without transcoding by MinimStreamer/ffmpeg), I don't think the problem with internet radio streams is caused by the stream converter program (ffmpeg). It is more likely to be caused by a problem with the network settings on your NAS. When I return home, I will check the network settings on my Synology NAS and post them here. |

RE: MinimStreamer not working
There is a mismatch between your default gateway and your DNS server. Your default gateway is on the 192.168.4.0 subnet and your DNS server is on the 192.168.1.0 subnet. Because these subnets are different, MinimStreamer cannot access internet radio streams.
To find out which subnet is the correct one, select the Network Interface tab and expand the LAN 1 section. When I do this, I see the following. What do you see? |

Thanks for helping out on this Simon. This is what I get: |

RE: MinimStreamer not working
This confirms that the DNS server needs to be on the 192.168.4.0 subnet, not the 192.168.1.0 subnet. You could try manually setting the DNS server address in the first screenshot to the same address as the gateway (192.168.4.1).

When you say manually setting the DNS Server do you mean manually configure the server address in this section of the first screen (apologies if its a silly question, but a bit nervous changing setting as not a power user!) |
