Message after rescan: Unknown path on line 1 of played-files.txt (162 others)
Every Minimserver rescan is concluded with the message "Unknown path on line 1 of played-files.txt (162 others).

I checked the log file and also the paths which are listed in the output, none of them seems invalid. This is the first line:

2023-02-28 17:24:01.383 /share/CACHEDEV5_DATA/Music Library/foobar2000/## POP ##/Deep Forest/World Mix/04 Night Bird.flac

What is happening here?

What is your setting for contentDir?

RE: Message after rescan: Unknown path on line 1 of played-files.txt (162 others)
The contentDir exists of 3 items:
- /share/CACHEDEV5_DATA/Music Library
- /share/CACHEDEV5_DATA/Music Library/foobar2000/## ROEL EXCLUDED ##
- /share/CACHEDEV5_DATA/Music Library/foobar2000/## UWE MEIER EXCLUDED ##

With excludePattern:
## ROEL EXCLUDED ##, ## UWE MEIER EXCLUDED ##

I created this setup to list these items in the folder view.

Are you sure that the file

/share/CACHEDEV5_DATA/Music Library/foobar2000/## POP ##/Deep Forest/World Mix/04 Night Bird.flac

currently exists in your library and is not excluded by excludePattern?

RE: Message after rescan: Unknown path on line 1 of played-files.txt (162 others)
I now see what is happening:

- I changed file names from "<nn> <title>" to "<nn>. <title>"

Old path's in the playlist are still checked ending up with this message. After cleaning up the invalid paths the message disappeared after a rescan.

So, when you do some maintenance a playlist clean-up could be necessary.

Thx for your support and guidance.

This is why the played-files.txt file is a plain text file that can be edited by the user in such a situation. Smile

Same issue here. Where will I find the played-files.txt file? Or: What causes the trouble?

You can find the played-files.txt file under "/share/MinimServer/recent/".

RE: Message after rescan: Unknown path on line 1 of played-files.txt (162 others)
This message is caused by renaming files and/or folders. Because some or all of your played files now have different file paths, MinimServer cannot find the files with the old paths that are listed in the played-files.txt file. MinimServer doesn't know what the new paths are (or if the files still exist), so it produces this warning message.

If you are using a QNAP NAS to run MinimServer, the path posted by z624391 is correct. If you are using some other device, please post what device you are using.
