Multidisc album artwork
Hi Simon,
I have a issue on some multidisc albums where DISCSUBTITLE is used.
In the album folder there are artwork for Album and for each DISCUBTITLE
I try to explain the issue:
I select the AlbumArtist
I have then, among others, the choice to go through "nn albums" folder or "Album" folder (renamed in Composition/Album).
If I go trough "nn albums" the artwork shown for the album is the right one (see green box)

If I go through "Album" (renamed in Composition/Album) the same album has the wrong artwork, it is one of the subtitles artwork (see red box)

If I drill down clicking on that album the artwork shown is the right one (green box)

Shouldn't the shown artwork be always the same?
thanks

RE: Multidisc album artwork
As discussed in this thread, the search for index artwork uses items, not albums. For an item that is part of a multidisc album, the disc artwork (if present) is used in preference to the album artwork, as described in the first part of this section.

RE: Multidisc album artwork
Sorry but I don’t understand why you’re talking about items, what is shown in my screenshots are all albums …

RE: Multidisc album artwork
Please see the post that I linked and subsequent discussion on the thread. Internally, MinimServer stores data about the library as a collection of items (tracks and groups). All indexes are created from this item data.

The Album index is no different from an index for any other tag such as Genre, Composer, Date, etc. Internally it uses a list of items to generate what you see when browsing. Its handling of index artwork images is item-based, just like other tag indexes.

The [n albums] index is different. It is a "flat list" of albums (no tag selections underneath it) and has specialised behaviour that reflects this difference. The brackets around this index title are an intentional indication that this is a special index with different behaviour.

This helps to understand … thanks
