Windows 11 Security prevents downloading MinimWatch 2.2

Unfortunately Windows 11 Security does not allow MinimWatch 2.2. to be downloaded. Please fix.

The same for Windows 10, but you can ignore this and safely install

No, that does not apply (at least to Windows 11). I can ignore it, which I did of course, and it downloads but gets immediately removed by Windows Security.

I am not happy to overrule Windows Security as I cannot verify if it is a false positive or whether the file is indeed corrupted.

Moreover updating from within MinimWatch does not work either. However it will display MinimWatch 2.2 it actually is not, it stil is version 2.1.2, and therefore it keeps offering to update to version 2.2...

The MinimWatch 2.2 download does not contain a virus. Windows always produces these "false positive" warnings when there is a new release. See this thread for a previous discussion on the same issue.

I cannot prevent these incorrect messages from Windows. I will report this issue to Microsoft and it should get resolved sooner or later.

There does seem to be a problem with the update install of MinimWatch 2.2 (but not MinimServer 2.2) thinking it is still on version 2.1.2. Thanks for letting me know about this. I am looking into it and I will post back here as soon as I have more news.

Have overruled Windows Security and now have successfully updated MinimWatch to version 2.2.

I have now checked this in detail. MinimWatch was on version 2.2 (as stated in the About screenshot that you posted) but it was incorrectly displaying updates for version 2.1.2. A fix for this will be available soon.

A fix is available now for the problem with incorrect New Version prompts after an update install of MinimWatch 2.2. This problem could potentially affect MinimServer as well as MinimWatch, so I have released MinimWatch update 110 and MinimServer update 230 with a fix for this problem. These updates are enabled for automatic installation, so they will be installed automatically when MinimWatch 2.2 and MinimServer 2.2 are started.

I have not been able to override Windows 10 security in order to download MinimumWatch 2.2. Still running 2.1, version 99. Will try again later.

I successfully installed MinimumServer 2.2 yesterday. I checked back today and found the DS1019 is still showing it as 2.1.2-2102 although MinimWatch about command shows it as 2.2 update 230. See screenshot.
