Melco (re)installation

I have somehow broken the minimserver installation on my Melco N100 by trying to update it via Minimwatch. When l log in via port 9790 I see the following error message:

Media server status for MinimServer[N-2CD7]: FailedRefresh statusRescan

Module 'jminim-2.0.140.jar' requires module 'ohnet()-1.32.4280'

I can't simply use Minimwatch to reverse or overwrite the update because Minimwatch won't connect with the server. (the icon just goes red) Is there a simple fix for this? I had hoped that a firmware update for the Melco would resolve it, but it has not. I am able to use the N100 with the Twonky server, but for obvious reasons would rather be able to use Minimserver again.

You can use MinimWatch to show the Properties window even when the icon is red. You can also use the Packages tab of the Properties window to remove or install updates.

Before you try this, please post the version number of your current MinimServer installation so that I can provide appropriate guidance. To find this information, use the Melco front panel to select Settings > Music Database, then scroll down to Version Check. What is the number on the Version Check line?

Thanks for this. It says version is 2.04; but pressing that prompts an update to 2.1. That's got it working, and I've now managed to update my license too! Many thanks for your quick response.

I'm glad to hear the problem is solved.

2.0.4 is extremely old (the first version of MinimServer 2 ever released). There are many improvements in 2.1.
