Control point for Cyrus Stream X Signature?
Hi,

I am moving to a Cyrus streamer from my old Linn Majik DS, so will my current BubbleDS still work or do I need something else?

Also do my current NAS / Minimserver settings need changing?

Thanks

Are you sure it is not discontinued? the Cyrus site doesn’t have any reference about it …
I found this announcement where they talk about a BluOS join in the near future https://www.cyrusaudio.com/streamer-development-update/
… anyway they have their own app Cyrus Cadence but its last update was 4 years ago … in a digital era it seems dead …

It is still on the Cyrus web site and sold by UK dealers, albeit now replaced by a hugely more expensive range.

I'm looking for advice on a control point such as BubbleDS

BubbleDS is for Linn DS only. BubbleUPnP should work if the Cyrus supports UPnP or DLNA (check the specs).

Thanks. I just got this response from Cyrus support.....

"The Stream X Signature is able to access any NAS Drive/Computer that has UPnP/DLNA running"

...so it sounds like BubbleUPnP is my way forward.

One question, I see there is also BubbleUPnP Server, so in layman's terms, what is the difference / usage between the two?

Bubbleupnpserver is not a control point nor it indexes your library.
Its main feature is to give your endpoint/upnp renderers OpenHome compatibility when control points require it to discover endpoint/upnp renderers
Here you can find more http://www.bubblesoftapps.com/bubbleupnpserver2/
