minimserver.service is failing
i'm running a LXC container with minim server and i can get it to start but it fails. I'm used to older style rc and log files so some of this is me not knowing where to look with systemctl type services (i.e. where's the error log and/or how do i turn up the logging).
here is what i get from $> systemctl status minimserver.service Code: ░░ |

RE: minimserver.service is failing
MinimServer doesn't use the nohup command. For running MinimServer in an LXC container, did you follow the instructions on this page?

RE: minimserver.service is failing
i did but was running into lots of the ipmap issues and tried many things to get the user/group aligned with the container. At some point i added the service as a debian system service that had both a user & group config that didn't exist on the server itself.
I've since uninstalled attempted to clean up everything within the container system, users, groups & services-wise. and reinstalled the minimserver service. I think the issue was me trying to register this via systemctl enable commands and then manually trying to add the necessary system files to make it work as a systemctl service. all that to say, after the clean up and resinstall everything seems to be working. |
