Delete Licence from MinimWorld
Hello,
I accidently lost access to my Raspberry with my MinimServer installation and had to reinstall them. Now I started from scratch and activated my MinimServer-Licence after installing on the same device. In MinimWorld it shows the licence from the last installation still as active and I didn't find a way to deactivate them. How can i delete the formerly installed instance from the licensing portal? |

RE: Delete Licence from MinimWorld
On Linux systems (including Raspberry Pi), the license is associated securely with information obtained by MinimServer from the operating system installation. This information is no longer available if the operating system has been reinstalled, even if the hardware is unchanged.
It isn't possible for a user to bypass this mechanism and perform license-related operations (including deactivating the license) without this secure information. To deactivate a license that is no longer accessible, it is necessary for me to update the license database manually. To request this, please use the Contact link on the minimworld.com home page and provide details of which activation you would like to be deactivated. In normal use, the user can prevent the need for this by deactivating the MinimServer license before uninstalling or overwriting MinimServer. If MinimServer is installed in a test environment that might become inaccessible unexpectedly (your situation), the best approach is to activate a free 30-day trial license for the test environment. This provides the full functionality of MinimServer and does not reduce your quota of full license activations. |
