Error 040
I have a MELCO HA-N1A EX and when attempting to install MinimServer 2 from the main menu I receive the following: "Updater not found. Error 040."

Help!!! Blush

Are you on the latest Melco EX firmware version 4.21? if not, please try installing this firmware and let me know whether this fixes the problem.

I have version 4.20...every time I turn the unit on it automatically searches for an update...I will see if I can manually search for one...

I manually checked for MELCO UPDATE 4.21 and recieved the exact same message: "Updater not found. Error 040."

According to the Melco manual, error 040 could mean your N1A is not connected to the internet. This is the most likely cause of the problem.

If you are sure your N1A has a working internet connection, you will need to contact Melco for further assistance.

Contacted Dan at MELCO and he instructed me on how to reinitialize the unit and I was able to both install update 4.21 and MinimServer 2!!!

I then followed the instructions on how to activate a free 30-day trial of the full version of MinimServer 2 but am unable to reach the License page and Welcome page!!! Sad

OK...I reached the License and Welcome page...I think...but where there is a link to purchase a full license there is no such link to register a 30 day trial...and I have been unable to locate where the 30 day trial is...frustrating!!!

Please see this page for details of how to access the MinimServer configuration web page and activate the free 30-day trial, together with an overview of how to use MinimServer on the Melco. To activate the free trial, select the License tab from the configuration page, then select Activate trial license.
