Licenses Used Issue
Hi
I purchased a license and since had to restore my latest Win 10 backup.
After the restore MinimServer didn't work. There was no icon on the taskbar and manually clicking the mserver.jar file did nothing, so I uninstalled then reinstalled.
After entering my license details I am now informed I have used 2 licenses, but this is not true. I only use one PC and will only ever do so. As I regularly restore a backup due to Windows restore never working properly I am concerned that I will not have any licenses left.

Backup:
Monthly (retain last 2 versions) to a partition on a caddy drive (to preserve a virus free environment).

Restore:
Delete C: partition.
Copy caddy drive partition to C:.
Boot to Win 10 Install.
Amend BCD using cmd to get Windows to accept the changes.
Reboot.

How are you doing the copies back and forth between C: and the caddy drive?

What exactly do you do when you amend the BCD?

One of these is causing the problem. With a bit more detailed information I should be able to work out which of these it is.

With a partition manager (take your pick). Copy & paste.

What exactly do you do when you amend the BCD?
BCDBOOT C:\WINDOWS /S C: /F ALL
As far as Windows is concerned the BCD does not affect any installed software.

One of these is causing the problem. With a bit more detailed information I should be able to work out which of these it is.

I will try to repeat what you are doing and see what happens. This will take a few days. In the meantime, I have been looking at the license database and the license logs to see what I can do to resolve your present situation with multiple license activations for the same MinimServer installation.

From the license logs, it appears the earlier license activation (Windows 10 2021-11-09 16:21:55 UTC) is the license activation currently in use. Does this seem correct to you? If so, I will deactivate the later activation (2021-11-24 19:12:50 UTC).
