Error Activating Trial Licence
Hi

I've just installed V2 on my Synology NAS for the first time and am trying to activate the 30 day trial licence. When I hit Activate I get the following error message in red:

License server error 500: [e61202ce] Your trial expired on 2021-01-28 13:43:08 UTC

Any fix please?

TIA

RE: Error Activating Trial Licence
This means you have previously activated the trial license. From the expiry date and time, it would have been activated on 29th December at 13:43:08.

I have checked the license server log for 29th December and it shows that a starter license for your NAS was activated at 13:42:41 followed by a trial license at 13:43:08.

Ah right, thanks Simon. That was on my old WD NAS (which was painfully slow). I recently got a Synology NAS and would like to trial the full version again...is it possible to reset my 30 days trial license for the Synology?

TIA

RE: Error Activating Trial Licence
The trial activation on 29th December was for a Synology DS1511+ with the same serial number and MAC address as your attempted activations at 11:38:41, 11:39:14, 11:39:31, 15:14:05 and 16:33:50 today.

Thanks Simon. The NAS previously belonged to my brother so I'm pretty sure if you check the earlier activations you will see they were registered to another email address. The free version works brilliantly but I'm interested to try out the dynamic browsing..Thanks for any help

I think you mean "intelligent browsing"?
This is also available in starter edition without licence.

Hi Peter, thanks for the reply. Yes...you're quite right, I thought it was disabled in the starter edition. Playing around with it now and comparing it with other packages...Cheers
