Restart with running file and position of last session

A question to all experts:

Is it possible to restart automatically (or with a certain meue) with
the file (and at the position) that played when the client stopped at
the last session?

This is controlled by the renderer, not the server. If I stop the server but not my renderer (a Linn DS), and then restart the server some time later, the renderer continues playing from the previous position.
