Configure/Customise views
Hello,
I've recently installed MinimServer on a PI4 and I'm quite pleased with it, thanks for your great work. My idea is to replace JRiver/MediaCentre as DLNA server, but I'm having a problem trying to replicate the views I'm so used to after years of using JRiver. I like to browse my classical music library by Composer/Genre/Work/Artist, and with MinimServer I can easily index the additional tags like 'Work' but I can't configure a hierarchical view of the library. Every time I 'step into' a category I'm presented on any DLNA controller with the choice of the tag. For example when I choose Beethoven I'm then presented with 'Genre', 'Work', 'Artist' and so on. I then need to select 'Chamber' (for example) and so on. Basically I always need a couple of clicks for each category. Is there any way to customise the views MinimServer will present to the controller? In JRiver you can select the library tag, or even expressions, I'm wondering if this is possible in MinimServer. Thanks in advance, Massi |

RE: Configure/Customise views
MinimServer doesn't provide the capability to constrain browsing to a preconfigured hierarchy. The browsing index menus are constructed dynamically based on the tags available in your library and the results of previous browsing steps. There is a way to limit indexed browsing to a single step but this isn't what you are looking for.
