First search of day always slow
Hi Simon
I am using latest version of minimserver 2 on a QNAP NAS. The first search of each day is always slow, taking about 10 seconds. There is lots of disc activity on the NAS while searching. After this first search all subsequent searches are processed quickly. Does the new version of minimserver do a periodic rescan of the files after a certain period of inactivity and is there a setting for this? This is not an issue I had with the original minimserver, it has only started since installing V2 mid December. |

Have you set the indexArtwork option? This will make browsing and searching slower. If your control point is caching artwork images, subsequent browsing and searching activity will be quicker as the control point will already have the artwork images.
Apart from this, there are no other changes in MinimServer 2 that would affect the speed of browsing and searching. |
