Linn Kazoo seems to be caching old album / playlist artwork

Even after a minimserver rescan, Kazoo shows old album / playlist artwork.

This is not artwork embedded in music files, but folder.jpg artwork in albums and playlist_name.jpg artwork.

This seems to happen when an artwork file is updated.

It affects the initial view in playlists, but when the specific playlist with the incorrect artwork is selected, the correct artwork is show in the playlist detail view.

Does anyone know how to force Kazoo to clear its artwork cache ?

I’ve noticed this problem too - the trick is to rename the album in the id-tags.

Perhaps using tag formatting to rename the album would work. For example, you could add

Album.displayFormat={$album^^:1}

to add the suffix ':1' to all album names. If this is successful in clearing the cache, you could then remove the :1 suffix.

Thanks, I will try.. and for a playlist (a physical .m3u), I guess I will need to rename it ?

Tag formatting cannot be used for playlist names, so you would need to rename the file.

I wonder whether a single rescan with playlists excluded would cause Kazoo to clear your playlists from its cache. You could try this by setting the excludePattern property to *.m3u and doing a rescan.

Sometimes the new album (or artist) name needs to be completely different...I have noticed that changing the id-tag from The Complete Piano Sonatas to Complete Piano Sonatas doesn’t guarantee success...

Haven’t reported this - only happens once in a blue moon - before I transfer an album to the nas I (usually) get a good quality album art...
