Filename to Title
Came across the following tag-formatting in the user guide:
Title.displayFormat={$title^$date^ [^]} Is it possible to get the filename there? Is there a tag with the filename? Just want to see the filename in some cases. BubbleUPnP hides the filename when there is a title. Thanks, Hans |

RE: Filename to Title
It is MinimServer (not BubbleUPnP) that is "hiding" the filename when there is a title. This is because MinimServer uses the filename as the Title value if there is no Title tag. If there is a Title tag, MinimServer ignores the filename.
Can you say more about the "some cases" where you want to see a filename? |

RE: Filename to Title
Thousands of old recordings (flac) have specific information in the filename (date, time, place etc.) I've put some further comments in the title-tag, because then it is also immediately visible in windows explorer main window. In windows it works perfect. But in BubbleUPnP I miss the information in the filename when there are comments in de title.
I tried to mass-copy the filenames to the title, but did not find a quick way in MusiCHI tagger. Furthermore combining the title and filename in Minimserver is more elegant. Hans |

You can use Mp3tag to mass copy file names to titles and then to carry out common edits to the titles (e.g. replacing '_' with ' '). |

RE: Filename to Title
See this post for a solution that does not require retagging your files.

RE: Filename to Title
Thanks. I'll see what I can do with these solutions.
