RE: Radio Paradise Lossless
The first two streams posted above are working for me on my renderer, both with and without MinimStreamer.

RE: Radio Paradise Lossless
Thanks for reply Simon.
I was using MinimStreamer with stream.transcode=*.wav and tried it without anything set for that option (but stream.converter still set) and that didn't work.
When you say without MinimStreamer do you mean all the stream.xxx settings empty or do you mean with the package removed?

RE: Radio Paradise Lossless
I meant with and without specifying a stream ID in the .m3u file, for example:

#EXTINF:-1,[RPMAIN] Radio Paradise Main
http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac

and:

#EXTINF:-1, Radio Paradise Main
http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac

The first of these uses MinimStreamer to play the stream and the second does not. I tested without setting the stream.transcode property.

Whether or not this will work depends on the capabilities of your renderer. Which renderer are you using?

RE: Radio Paradise Lossless
Okay ... that's how it works.
Tried 2nd form without stream ID and that didn't work.
My renderer is a Technics SU-R1 btw.

Being forced to use the 1st form, even then it won't work without transcode option set.

Being forced to use transcode option I guess it doesn't really matter which output format I choose and my idea of unconverted/direct is simply not possible then with my renderer?

Regards, Louis.

RE: Radio Paradise Lossless
The Radio Paradise FLAC stream is wrapped in an Ogg container. I looked at the specifications for your renderer and Ogg is not listed.

To play the stream on your renderer, I recommend that you specify *:wav or *:wav24 in stream.transcode. This is a lossless conversion that preserves all the audio information in the original FLAC stream.

RE: Radio Paradise Lossless
Thanks for your efforts Simon.
I'll leave it at *:wav then.
Regards, Louis.
