Rescan and or Refresh issue with Qnap and Cary

I have a Qnap -Ts251 and A Cary Audio DMS 500 streamer dac and all of a sudden cant refresh my library to show new additions to my library. I have tried refresh which i assume gets the new items in the library and then done a whole rescan . This has always worked in the past for my rather large library .

The Rescan button rescans your library and picks up any new additions. The Refresh status button refreshes the status information shown just to the left of the button.

Thats what i have been doing but recently the rescan is not picking up the new additions ? i also send in a thumbnail of my screen am i missing something there that potentially is preventing this?

ive been stuck on 1316 albums and cant get the rescan to show new albums in the cary audio app with MS

The next step would be to install MinimWatch (if you haven't already done this) and do the following:

1) From the MinimWatch minim icon, select Show log
2) In the log window, set the logging level to Verbose
3) Leave the log window open
4) Do a rescan

The messages in the log window will tell you whether the rescan is happening and will show you a list of folders that were rescanned.

1) Where do i install MW? the NAs or my windows desktop?
2) once we have established where how do i do that?

1)You have to install MinimWatch on your desktop.
2)Right-click on MinimWatch icon     and then follow the instructions Simon gave.

people i give up still wont recognize my new albums did as instructed above!

Did you do what I suggested in this post? If so, what did you see in the MinimServer verbose log?
