Some newbie questions
I am back to MiniM after giving Plex a go. MiniM just seems much better for DLNA, so I am glad to be back :-)

I thought I had everything working before, but seems not. Would love to get help with some newbie questions below:

1) Can I have more than one library? For example, I'd like to have separate libraries for albums and audiobooks. Possible? I could probably run more than one minim server in parallel, but hope there is a more elegant solution to achieve this?

2) The "root directory" shows "xxx albums / xxx items / Artist". Only "artist" is defined by me. Is it possible to remove "xxx albums / xxx items"?

3) Example 2Pac. https://musicbrainz.org/artist/382f1005-...ae4ee37f2. I'd like to have the following albums listed under 2Pac, but they show as separate artists ("2Pac + Outlawz" and "Tupac Shakur). Possible?
* https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/28...f294d24bc2
* https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/28...f66e1a4483

4) Any chance to add a "recently added" option to the menu?

5) How are playlists handled? I have some M3U files. Can I somehow add them and how to configure that I can see them at the DLNA clients?

Another option is to have two content directories to enable you to browse these separately (make initial selection using folder view, then switch to tag view after this).

These entries cannot be removed.

MinimServer shows whatever is in your tags. It sounds like you need to change the tags. Perhaps I have not fully understood your question.

I am hoping to provide this in a future version.

Just put these in your library. You will see them as "xxx playlists" on the top-level menu.

RE: Some newbie questions
Thanks for your quick reply:

re 1 - where are you making these edits? In MiniM watch or the player apps?

re 2 - any chance if I manually edit some of the files? I'd really love to get rid (particularly of the "items" and the numbers in front of the "albums")

re 5 - any chance to remove the "xxx" (basically same Q as #2)

You can specify multiple content directories in the Properties window. Depending on where you are running MinimServer, this window is shown either by MinimServer or MinimWatch.

FYI, MiniM is something else, not related to MinimServer and MinimWatch.

The formatting of these menu choices cannot be changed.

The "items" choice is useful when a browsing selection produces a list of tracks that does not consist of complete albums.
