Streamer fails to play next track
Hi everyone,
System QNAP TS-253A Minim Server 0.8.5.2 Minim Streamer 0.7.12 Bubble DS as controler and Marantz NA 11S1 as render. Need support for transcoding issue. Minim Streamer fail to play next track when ffmpeg converter. Not depend on output file type. The same situation with transcoding combination flac:wav24;192 or dsf:wav24;192. Works fine without transcoding request. Thanks a lot and looking forward for replay. |

RE: Streamer fails to play next track
What is the original resolution of your FLAC files? If you have any albums in 16/44100 and transcode them using flac:wav (keeping same resolution), does this work?

Thanks Simon, I'll try. Do you have some ideas next track failing in DSF transcoding? Marantz NA 11S1 do not accept DSD trough ethernet so dsf transcoding to wav is the most important for me. |

RE: Streamer fails to play next track
It could be related to the timing of when one track finishes streaming and the next track starts streaming. Transcoding causes a longer time gap and some renderers don't allow enough time for this. Transcoding to a lower resolution with CD-quality FLAC files should reduce the time gap slightly and this might confirm whether or not this is the issue. Unfortunately, this is unlikely to help with DSF transcoding because of the much higher sample rate of the original file.

Probably I shall look for solution to stream DSD files to Marantz USB port. Flac transcoding to wav with original resolution work fine. Best Regards |
