RE: Changing Hard Drive in a Melco
Orange55
The SSD I used is CrucialMX500 2.5 MDL CT2000MX500SSD1

The difference was not subtle. Certainly not expectation bias because I thought I was cool being able to change the drive so easily.
I was not expecting to hear very much difference to be honest. But this was a big change in the wrong direction. Treble seemed hidden and the bass boomy. Unbelievable.
Somebody who understands the Melcos much better than me told me that matching of power supplies to discs is critical.

Hope this helps
Don

Yeah, also a bit curious about that one. I've got the two 4Tb SSDs now in for some years but space starts to run out. And you now buy a 8Tb for little more than I bought the 4Tb a few years back.

No one at all got any information? At least two of us would like to know!

Why not ask the question on the Facebook Melco owners' page?

I don't have and don't want a Facebook account - if anyone wants to ask and report back here?

RE: Changing Hard Drive in a Melco
An Offtopic question to Melco users:
Do you think there is a difference, when I use it and my old renderer?
