Have to stop/run server on synology
Seems like every day or two I have to restart the server on my synology because it doesn't show up on my devices or with minimwatch.
Been happening for a while now but I can't pin point when it started exactly. Running .124

Any idea?
Thanks!

RE: Have to stop/run server on synology
When this happens next, click on the MinimServer icon on the DSM main menu. Does this open the MinimServer status web page? If the page does open, MinimServer is running and the problem is caused by a network issue. If the page does not open, MinimServer has crashed.

The page does not open.
In the package center it says the app is running but I need to stop and run it again for it to work

RE: Have to stop/run server on synology
Please look in the MinimServer/appData folder to see if there are any files that indicate why MinimServer has stopped unexpectedly. These files might have names that start with minimserver-crash or hs_err.

RE: Have to stop/run server on synology
This isn't a problem with Java, so reinstalling Java won't help. It is a problem with ohNet (a component used by MinimServer). Please attach the complete hs_err file to a post here (as a file attachment) so that I can investigate further.

RE: Have to stop/run server on synology
Thanks very much for these. How often does the problem occur? Is there any pattern to this in terms of what was happening just before MinimServer stopped running?

Also, as a possible workaround that might help, please try setting the ohnet.subnet property for MinimServer as described in the second paragraph of this section.

RE: Have to stop/run server on synology
I would say once a day. Sometimes every 2 days. I usually come home from work and want to listen to music but I have to stop/run minimserver. It might have happened more than once in 24hours but I am not sure. But it does happen pretty much every day or so

RE: Have to stop/run server on synology
It sounds like the crash happens while you aren't actively using MinimServer to browse your library or stream music. Please confirm this by looking at the timestamp of the hs_err file when this happens again. The timestamp of this file will be the exact time of the crash.

Also, as a possible workaround that might help, please try setting the ohnet.subnet property for MinimServer as described in the second paragraph of this section.
