Qnap TS-212 and Sony KDL-37EX521
Hallo.
I want to reproduce FLAC files form NAS converted to wav on my TV.
With the PC, using Asset Server, FLAC files was transcoded to LPCM format and all works properly.

I installed MinimServer on NAS an MinimWatch on my PC.
I set properly contentDir=<right_path> and transcode=wav16 but when I browse in the TV I don't see FLAC files.

I tried to use Kinsky on my PC, I can see the files but I can't reproduce in my TV. The TV is properly detected.
What is wrong?

Thanks and greetings from Italy.

I try also with an mp3.
I can see the mp3 name in the TV but if I try to play the file the TV answers: impossible to reproduce with transcoding enabled or not.

MinimServer doesn't currently support transcoding to LPCM. This is on the "wish list" for a future release. You can't use WAV transcoding because the TV doesn't support this (according to this page).

You should be able to play an MP3 file without transcoding. There are some problems in MinimServer 0.63 that could cause problems with this. I'll send you a PM with a link to a test build to try. What kind of NAS are you using to run MinimServer?

Hi Simon. I'm using a QNAP TS-212.
I think that Minimiserver is the only one multimedia server that perform audio transcoding without loss of quality.

All the HiFi lovers (and me too) would to thank for your efforts.
Many thanks!

Guido.
