"Two Processes on Same Configuration"
Question for anyone who has done this: on my Synology 411+, running DSM4.2, in the Package Center, my Minim Server shows as "Stopped." But in my desktop Mac, MinimWatch shows that it is running. If I click "Start" in the Package Center, a second MinimWatch icon appears in my Mac menu bar in red, indicating that two processes cannot be run on the same configuration. Is there some reason why MinimServer shows as "Stopped" in the Package Center, but actually appears to be running (and serving up music wonderfully)?

Did you use JavaManager to install and start Java? If so, see this post for a temporary workaround. A permanent solution will be available in the near future. |

UPDATE: Have checked that out. Interesting. I followed the instructions for the patters package, but I probably missed the fact that I was "overlapping" with the already available Oracle Java Manager for the Synology. In fact, I did not notice that Java Manager was even available until after I had installed the complete patters package and MinimServer. I will likely leave this alone until it is addressed in a future package, because it is all running fine now, and I am only using this in a test mode with my PSA PWD and inbound Lumin player. I am also playing around with the Mac OS X version of JRMC, but I expect MinimServer to be my preferred service going forward. |

If you download and install the current installation package (0.63.5), it should work correctly with either Java Manager or the patters package. |

RE: "Two Processes on Same Configuration"
Install of new package took mere seconds, and now appears to be working flawlessly. [Can't believe I wrote that, it's like asking for trouble, but it is true at the moment.]
Simon, sent you my PayPal donation. Well worth it! |

Many thanks for your continuing contributions to the Synology package! Simon |

Minim is already quite good with my PWD. |
