RE: MinimServer support for NETGEAR ReadyNAS
I have a ReadyNAS Duo v1 but thinking about upgrading to a v2 as it is cheap and can transcode to WAV which sounds best with my Naim streamer. Has anyone had any issues using Minimsever on a v2? In particular, the limited processing power for transcoding.

Thanks

The CPU of the v2 is more than fast enough to handle any transcoding that MinimServer can do (or will do in the foreseeable future).

MinimServer supports ReadyNAS models with ARM and x86 processors only. You can't install it in an NV+ v1 because this has a SPARC processor.

RE: MinimServer support for NETGEAR ReadyNAS
I've a Duo I've had from 2008, so a v1.

Can I use MinimServer, even if only in a minimal mode?

Unfortunately, this isn't possible.
