RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
Hi Simon,
thanks fo your quick answer. Usally I use these stream.options: convOut=-af aresample=resampler=soxr:precision=28 and theses stream.transcode: flac(44):wav24;176, flac(88):wav24;176, flac(176):wav24;176, flac:wav24;192 But for testing on Melco I just used stream.transcode: flac:wav24 This option works for me. But flac:wav24;192 is not working. Is Soxr to be installed separatly? Regards Jürgen |

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
Are you sure you have ffmpeg installed? What does the stream.converter property say?

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
The stream.coverter value is: opt/bin/ffmpeg
I installed ffmpeg as discribed, the ffpeg file is in the Minimserver directory under opt/bin. I can't see whats wrong |

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
What do you mean by "flac:wav24;192 is not working"? What exactly happens when you specify this in stream.transcode?

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
I use a Linn Akurate DS an I choose the files from Melco (Minim) by Kinsky.
I had choosen one track (or album), I can see it in the playlist. But the songs were not be played, after a short while it is skipped to the next song, without playing anything. Usally this happens if a track is deletet or modified without rescanning minim. But the songs are still there and with flac:wav they are played correctly. |

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
Do you have Twonky running on the Melco as well as MinimServer? Twonky can consume a lot of CPU cycles and this might be interfering with ffmpeg. Try disabling Twonky using the instructions near the end of this section.

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
Are you sure you downloaded the armhf version of ffmpeg?

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
I unpacked this package (armhf build: ffmpeg-release-armhf-32bit-static.tar.xz - md5) from https://www.johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ to the melco share.

RE: Melco using mounted NAS share
Did you unpack the complete contents of the package to the MinimServer/opt/bin folder? You should only put the ffmpeg file in this folder. If you unpacked other files as well, it is a good idea to delete these from the MinimServer/opt/bin folder to save space in the Melco system partition.
Please produce a trace log by doing the following: 1) From the MinimWatch minim icon, select 'Show log' 2) In the log window, set the logging level to Trace 3) Leave the log window open 4) Browse to a song and try to play it (one song only) 5) In the log window, click 'Save as' to save a log file 6) Zip the log file (this step is important) 7) Attach the zipped log file to a post here 8) In the log window, set the logging level back to Info I will look at the log file to see if there is any information about what might be causing the problem. |
