Using the Melco front-panel setting is better because:
1) It stops Twonky immediately if it is running, without requiring a power cycle of the N1 2) It allows Twonky to be restarted at any time, without requiring a power cycle of the N1 3) It is simpler for users than needing to edit a text file 4) It is officially supported by Melco and doesn't require the use of undocumented interfaces that may change in future firmware releases I am planning to remove the MinimServer mechanism when most users have moved up to firmware level 3.70 or above. |
