In case a transcoding program such as ffmepg is specified in "stream.converter" field, does it always supercede the internal transcoder of MinimServer?

Having this property set enables the use of an external converter program but doesn't mean the converter program will always be used.

The internal FLAC to WAV/LPCM transcoder is used by default for an input type of flac and an output type of wav, wav16, wav24, L16 or L24 where the sample rate is not being changed. If the sample rate is being changed, the external converter is used. Also, if the output type is followed by a semicolon, the external converter is used.

For conversion from DSF or DFF to DoP/WAV, the internal transcoder is always used and there is no option to use an external converter.

For all other transcoding combinations, the external converter is always used.

One small amendment to my previous post: the internal transcoder is also used by default when transcoding flac to L16 or L24. I have edited my previous post to clarify this.
